SK C&C announced on the 25th that it has implemented the next-generation system for Hyundai Home Shopping.
Starting in May 2022 and going through a 20-month construction and stabilization period, SK C&C helped Hyundai Home Shopping build a differentiated distribution platform through this project.
SK C&C created a hybrid cloud-based integrated digital platform environment encompassing Hyundai Home Shopping’s entire commerce system, including TV home shopping and Hmall. Customer touchpoint service areas with high usage were distributed across public and private clouds to enable flexible responses even in the event of unexpected incidents. The integrated business management area, including standard management and order management, was built on a private cloud to ensure data security.
Using the cloud solution 'Cloud Z MP,' SK C&C supported application modernization (AM) across Hyundai Home Shopping’s core applications, including Hmall. Cloud Z MP is a cloud AM platform developed by SK C&C. It provides all necessary technologies for cloud modernization development and operation at once, including ▲Micro Service Architecture design ▲Container technology ▲Data management technology ▲Application Program Interface management technology.
Through Cloud Z MP, Hyundai Home Shopping can quickly modify and expand various applications in response to market changes. This has improved application running speed and enabled application function modifications without system downtime. To handle large-scale company-wide promotions, the exhibition and event areas of Hmall were migrated to the public cloud to secure infrastructure scalability. Even when large promotions and main program broadcasts cause a surge in order volume and massive traffic, it can respond anytime without additional work.
