EM&I announced on the 25th that it participated as a leading company in next-generation display material development at the '8th Korea-France New Industry Technology Cooperation Forum.'
The Korea-France New Industry Technology Cooperation Forum is an event jointly hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, held over two days on the 16th and 17th (local time) in Paris, France. Various opportunities were provided to expand advanced technology cooperation between the two countries, share joint research and development (R&D) achievements, discover industry-academia cooperation projects, and explore global partners.
Go Chang-hoon, CEO of EM&I, introduced the development project of inorganic ink materials for ‘EL-QD (Electroluminescent Quantum Dot)’ displays, which are gaining attention as next-generation displays. The inorganic ink materials developed by EM&I can be easily applied to large-scale, large-area processes in a dispersed solution form. They also offer high stability, excellent long-term reliability, and allow easy control of charge mobility and energy levels through the selection of doping metals.
He also discussed the ongoing research and development process regarding the energy transfer mechanism of next-generation display materials and ligand dynamics within complexes. The goal of this process is to find materials with high luminous efficiency, stability, and long lifespan.
CEO Go stated, “We met with leading French companies to introduce the inorganic next-generation display material development project aimed at carbon reduction and research trends,” adding, “At last year’s International Meeting on Information Display (IMID), we shared a booth with the quantum computer development company PASQAL and discussed various cooperation plans in development, manufacturing, and marketing to accelerate the advancement and commercialization of quantum computers.”
