Citywide Expansion and Visible Achievements... Infrastructure Development and Program Advancement
Busan City will hold the Annual General Meeting of the 15-Minute City Advisory Committee at 10:20 AM on the 25th at the Busan City Hotel.
Since its first appointment in February last year, the '15-Minute City Advisory Committee' has actively worked to establish a Busan-style 15-Minute City by holding 14 meetings throughout 2023.
The committee members have consistently provided policy advice and encouragement to ensure that key projects such as the Happy Challenge, policy contests, and 15-Minute City indicators and indices move in the right direction. They have also played a vital role as a medium to promote and drive the expansion of the 15-Minute City through policy forums and discussions.
This annual general meeting was organized to express gratitude for the advisory committee’s active role so far, and to share the progress of the 15-Minute City development, this year’s focus areas and goals, and plans for key policies.
The meeting will be attended by about 70 people, including the mayor, Chairman Kim Su-young, and advisory committee members, and will proceed in the order of ▲awarding meritorious contributors ▲reporting on advisory committee activities ▲reporting on this year’s major work plans ▲discussion and consultation ▲commemorative photo session.
In the merit awards, the mayor’s commendation will be given to institutions, public officials, and civilians who have made significant contributions to the establishment of the 15-Minute City.
Through this annual general meeting, the city plans to further strengthen the foundation laid so far and enhance public-private cooperation to ensure the full expansion of the 15-Minute City.
Additionally, as the city has established representative models of the 15-Minute City and expanded urgently needed convenience facilities through policy contests and the Happy Challenge project, the annual general meeting will mark the conclusion of the first phase of the 15-Minute City and raise the anchor for the second phase.
The second phase will focus on expanding throughout the entire city, emphasizing the creation of visible results that citizens can directly experience, with a focus on infrastructure development and program advancement.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “The 15-Minute City Advisory Committee is a key partner that serves as a lighthouse for the 15-Minute City,” adding, “Based on the solid cooperative system built so far, we will continue to work together to ensure the 15-Minute City can take off in earnest.”
