Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will issue 4 billion KRW worth of Yeongdeungpo Love Gift Certificates at a 5% discounted price ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to reduce the consumer burden for ancestral rite table setting costs.

Amid prolonged difficult living conditions due to high inflation and high interest rates, this initiative aims to revitalize local small businesses and boost the livelihood economy ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Yeongdeungpo Love Gift Certificate is a prepaid mobile gift certificate that can be used at affiliated stores located within the district. Each time it has been issued, it has received great support from residents, setting records for early sell-outs.

The issuance date for the gift certificates is the 30th at 4 PM. The total issuance amount is 4 billion KRW. Gift certificates can be purchased at a 5% discount through five applications including ‘Seoul Pay Plus (Seoul pay+)’, T-money Pay, Shinhan SOL Bank, Money Tree, and Shinhan SOL Pay. Each individual can purchase up to 500,000 KRW per month, with a total holding limit of 1.5 million KRW. It is convenient to check the gift certificate balance in the mobile application before charging.

Purchased gift certificates can be used at approximately 12,500 affiliated stores, restaurants, cafes, and other establishments located within the district. Payment is simple by scanning the QR code displayed at each affiliated store, and income tax deduction benefits are also provided during year-end tax settlement.

The usage period is five years from the date of purchase. If unused in full, a full refund is available, and balance refunds are possible only if more than 60% of the face value has been used.

The district office requested residents to download the Seoul Pay Plus (Seoul pay+) application and register as members before the issuance day to purchase the gift certificates more quickly and conveniently on the day of issuance.
