The Korean Senior Citizens Association Dongdaemun-gu Branch Donates Warm Winter Fund Worth 16 Million Won

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilhyung Lee) announced on the 24th that the Dongdaemun-gu branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association (Branch President Doyoung Lee) donated warm winter support funds worth 16 million KRW.

The donation ceremony was attended by Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee, Doyoung Lee, Branch President of the Korea Senior Citizens Association Dongdaemun-gu branch, vice presidents, the head of the senior college, and the secretary-general.

Since the inauguration of the current Branch President Doyoung Lee in August 2022, the Korea Senior Citizens Association Dongdaemun-gu branch has been leading efforts to improve support for 138 senior centers in the area, actively practicing filial love within the community by awarding scholarships to middle and high school students every year, setting an example for others.

Mayor Ilhyung Lee of Dongdaemun-gu said, “It is heartwarming to see the community come together to support neighbors who are likely to face a particularly cold and difficult winter due to the economic downturn, ensuring they can spend the winter healthily and safely. We thank the seniors for their filial love for the residents of Dongdaemun-gu, and the precious donation will be used where help is needed.”
