Galaxy S24 Sets New Sales Record in India... Surpasses 250,000 Pre-orders in 3 Days

Samsung Electronics' AI smartphone Galaxy S24 series set a new sales record in the Indian market just three days after the start of pre-orders.


According to Samsung Electronics Newsroom on the 23rd, the pre-order sales volume of the Galaxy S24 series in the Indian smartphone market surpassed 250,000 units as of the 21st (local time), marking the highest ever.


Samsung Electronics explained that the Galaxy S23 series, released last year, recorded pre-order sales over three weeks, but this record was broken in just three days.


Samsung Electronics has been conducting pre-order sales in the Indian market since the 18th of this month.

Samsung Electronics is focusing on expanding its influence in India, the world's second-largest smartphone market, by manufacturing flagship models such as the Galaxy S24 Ultra at local factories.


According to market research firm Canalys, Samsung Electronics ranked first in the Indian smartphone market last year with a 19% market share, surpassing China's Vivo (18%), Xiaomi (17%), and Realme (12%).


Raju Pulan, head of the mobile business division at Samsung Electronics India, said, "The great success of the Galaxy S24 series shows that Indian consumers adopt new technologies early," and added, "We want to express our gratitude for the overwhelming response."
