'Fast Lives' Releasing in March... Oscar in Sight

CJ ENM and the American Hollywood studio A24 announced on the 23rd that the film "Fast Lives," co-invested and distributed by both companies, will be released in March.

"Fast Lives" depicts a fateful two-day story of first love Nayoung and Haesung, who spent their childhood in Seoul and reunite in New York after 24 years, reflecting on their seemingly unbreakable connection. The film is directed by Celine Song, a Korean-Canadian director and daughter of director Song Neunghan, who directed the film "Number 3" (1997).

Korean-American actress Greta Lee, who left a strong impression with the Netflix OTT series "Russian Doll" and Apple TV+ "The Morning Show" Season 2, plays Nayoung, and Yoo Tae-oh, the first Korean actor nominated for the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) Best Actor, stars as Haesung.

The film has been nominated in 183 categories and won 64 awards. It was invited to the 39th Sundance Film Festival and the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival, and was nominated in major categories at the 81st Golden Globe Awards and the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA). Additionally, it swept the 58th National Society of Film Critics Awards (Best Picture) and the 33rd Gotham Awards (Best Feature), moving closer to the Oscars. The American Academy Awards (Oscars) ceremony will be held on March 10 (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles (LA), USA.
