SK C&C "Manage Cloud Service Quality with My Own Score"

SK C&C "Manage Cloud Service Quality with My Own Score"

A service that allows you to quickly and easily manage cloud service quality at a glance with your own score (My Score) has been launched.

SK C&C announced on the 23rd that it has developed a customer-tailored quality management service on its multi-cloud management platform, Cloud Z MCMp.

As more companies adopt cloud services recently, the need to comprehensively manage not only cost optimization but also ▲cloud security (CSPM) ▲policy compliance has been increasing. SK C&C stated, "In fact, customers monitor key management areas and make optimal choices in terms of cost and operational efficiency through multi-cloud integrated management platforms provided by cloud managed service providers (MSPs). However, they face difficulties in comprehensive service level management that covers security, policy compliance, and service quality tailored to their company characteristics."

Accordingly, SK C&C developed a customer-tailored quality management service feature on the existing Cloud Z MCMp that allows customers to comprehensively monitor and manage overall cloud service quality according to their cloud operation objectives.

The customer-tailored quality management service enables customers to select the indicators they want to manage themselves, assign weights to these indicators, and check whether they have reached their desired target level with their own score (My Score). The quality management service includes quality management indicators such as ▲cost optimization targets that automatically provide information on unused or low-utilization resources ▲CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) diagnosis results ▲non-compliance with architecture such as backup and redundancy configurations recommended by the CSP (Cloud Service Provider) ▲compliance rates for essential monitoring and operational policies by major resources ▲compliance rates for tag assignment for resource identification. Additionally, a standard guideline is provided for each indicator.

Customers can select indicators and their weights according to their cloud service operation objectives and then set a target score. The quality management service automatically measures the score daily based on the criteria specified by the customer and immediately notifies them via an alarm if the quality level falls below the target score to facilitate prompt action.

In fact, a retail service sector customer who piloted the quality management service for seven months from February last year raised their comprehensive quality management score from about 70 points to around 90 points by focusing on cloud service operation items, resulting in reducing the number of service failures by more than half compared to the previous year.

Cloud Z MCMp also newly added a cost analysis service specialized for cloud container services. Through this, companies can analyze cloud usage costs of cloud containers running their digital systems and services by application unit.

Jangsoo Shin, Head of SK C&C Cloud Division, said, "We will continue to develop various functions and provide smart cloud services that help customers make optimal decisions."
