Samsung Display Expands 'Display Track' to 8 Universities... Producing About 70 Experts Annually

Operating from 3 to 8 Universities

Samsung Display announced on the 23rd that it will expand its talent development program linked to recruitment, the 'Display Track,' from the existing 3 universities to 8 universities.


To this end, Samsung Display plans to visit five partner universities, starting with Yonsei University and ending with Sogang University, to sign agreements for operating the Display Track.

The Display Track operates display education courses at each university, selects outstanding talents, provides scholarships, and guarantees employment after graduation. Samsung Display has been operating the Display Track at three universities, starting with Seoul National University and Pohang University of Science and Technology in 2019, and KAIST in 2022. This time, agreements were signed with Korea University, Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, and Hanyang University, planning to select about 70 talents annually from a total of 8 universities and nurture them as display experts.


Meanwhile, the signing ceremony held the previous day at the 1st Engineering Building of Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus was attended by Lee Jong-hyuk, Vice President and Head of the Large Display Business Division, Myung Jae-min, Dean of the College of Engineering at Yonsei University, as well as professors and staff members.


Lee Jong-hyuk, head of the business division, said, "As technological competition in the display field becomes increasingly intense, it is more important than ever for our companies to cultivate and secure specialized talent to maintain competitiveness," adding, "This collaboration with Yonsei University will be an opportunity to enhance the company's global competitiveness and broaden the foundation of the Korean display industry."
