225-pyeong Space... 'Largest Offline Scale'
Pet Meeting at Community Space 'Mollis Lounge'
Experience Products Like Pet Food and Pet Clothing
Emart announced on the 23rd that it will introduce the '3rd Generation MOLLY'S' for the first time at Starfield Suwon on the 24th.
MOLLY'S is a family-oriented pet specialty store created by Emart to diversify pet supplies. It started as a 1st generation store focused on selling pet supplies when it first opened in 2010, and later evolved into a 2nd generation store by adding pet-friendly facilities such as animal hospitals and pet grooming salons.
Emart explained that considering the recent popularity of experiential elements, which are strengths unique to offline retail, it decided to debut the 3rd generation MOLLY'S at Starfield Suwon. Since Starfield Suwon is a space that embodies 'Starfield 2.0' centered on the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), Emart's strategy is to enhance elements that can encompass the lifestyles of all generations, including the MZ generation, to create synergy.
Opening on the first floor of Starfield Suwon with an area of 225 pyeong (approximately 744 square meters), MOLLY'S Starfield Suwon store features the largest offline selection of pet supplies along with experiential content.
First, a community space called 'MOLLY'S Lounge' was created to facilitate communication and relaxation for dogs and their owners. Through this, pet owners can share information about their dogs, and dogs can develop social skills through various encounters. Veterinary lectures and new product showcases for dogs are also provided.
A 'Selfie Zone' and 'Photo Booth' were set up where customers can take pictures with their pets to create lasting memories.
The service allowing customers to try products before purchasing has also been enhanced. The 'Sample Food Vending Machine' offers the opportunity to taste 24 different types of pet food to help find products that suit the dog's preferences. Customers who purchase over a certain amount receive MOLLY'S coins, which can be inserted into the vending machine to get sample food.
Additionally, the 'Fashion Street' features over 200 types of pet clothing from 20 brands, showcasing various seasonal outfits, and the stroller experience zone allows customers to try and compare pet strollers firsthand.
Kim Seong-geun, head of Emart MOLLY'S team, said, "We are introducing the 3rd generation MOLLY'S store at Starfield Suwon for the first time to provide trendy yet truly necessary services to the 12 million pet owners in Korea. We will continue to strengthen experiential elements that both pet owners and pets can enjoy, striving to make MOLLY'S a sanctuary for pet owners."
Meanwhile, Traders Suwon Hwaseo store, located in the basement of Starfield Suwon, recorded over 200,000 visitors in about a month since its opening on the 21st of last month. Traders Suwon Hwaseo, which opened before the official opening of Starfield Suwon, ranked as the third most visited store among 22 Traders nationwide during the past month.
Accordingly, Traders Suwon Hwaseo will hold a customer appreciation discount event from the 26th of this month to the 10th of next month. Animal welfare certified eggs, cherries, potatoes, and grilled salmon will be offered at discounted prices, and Shinsegae Point members will receive a 3,000 won discount on Korean beef sirloin, U.S. chilled choice short ribs, and strawberries (1kg).
Ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, products such as Gyeongju Beopju (traditional liquor), seafood meatballs, rice cake soup rice cakes, and kitchen towels will also be offered at discounted prices. Additionally, a roadshow for the popular camping brand 'CLAYMRORE' will be held until the 28th.
A Traders representative said, "We prepared a large-scale event to repay the love customers have shown to Traders over the past month. We will continue to establish ourselves as a representative shopping destination in the southern Gyeonggi region with Traders' differentiated products and overwhelming price competitiveness."
