Establishing Customized Fundraising and Distribution Activities and Rapid Support Process for the Local Community

Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement with the Community Chest of Korea in Seoul (Chairman Kim Jae-rok) and the Songpa-gu Community Social Security Council (Chairman Kwon Oh-hyung) to promote the '2024 Songpa-gu Fruit of Love Sharing Network Project.'

The Fruit of Love Sharing Network Project is a program designed to establish a fundraising and distribution system tailored to local characteristics, identify and support vulnerable groups, and spread a culture of donation and sharing within the community.

To effectively support vulnerable groups, the district plans to carry out sharing activities, which were previously overseen and conducted by the Community Chest of Korea in Seoul, through a community-centered sharing network.

Under this agreement, Songpa-gu will conduct fundraising promotions and campaigns targeting local residents to activate community-linked fundraising and distribution activities, as well as identify recipients such as vulnerable groups for distribution.

The Songpa-gu Community Social Security Council will establish fundraising activities and distribution plans to provide support.

In particular, it was explained that customized distribution centered on the needs of recipients will be carried out through the establishment and review of project plans by a regional committee composed of experts.

Additionally, with the creation of this sharing network, fundraising activities that were previously concentrated in winter, such as warm winter campaigns, will be actively promoted throughout the year to ensure a virtuous cycle of sharing activities.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “Through this business agreement, a network capable of spreading the culture of donation and sharing in the community has been established. We will continue to actively support the fundraising and distribution activities of the Songpa-gu Community Social Security Council to closely care for neighbors in need centered on the residents.”
