Over 50 University, Busan City, and Corporate Officials Participate
On the 19th, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-su) held the '2023 Forum for Sharing the Expansion of Entrepreneurial and Startup Spirit Project Achievements' at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Busan.
Hosted by the Pukyong National University LINC 3.0 Project Group and Busan City, and organized by the Pukyong National University Entrepreneurial and Startup Spirit Education Center and the Graduate School of Technology Management’s Convergence Technology Commercialization Expansion Specialized Workforce Training Project Group, this forum was prepared to share the achievements in expanding the base of entrepreneurship and startup spirit over the past year.
On the 19th, the 2nd Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurship Business Performance Expansion Sharing Forum is being held.
At the forum, more than 50 participants including startup representatives from Busan, officials from Busan City’s Industry-Academia Cooperation Division, and related organizations attended to present and discuss. Exchange and communication activities took place among universities, industries, and startup-related sectors.
The event began with an opening address by Kim Kwon-hoo, Deputy Director of Pukyong National University LINC 3.0 Project, and a welcoming speech by Lee Soon-jung, Head of Busan City Industry-Academia Cooperation Division. Presentations followed, including ‘Achievements in Expanding the Base of Entrepreneurship’ by Cheon Dong-pil, Director of the Entrepreneurial and Startup Spirit Education Center at Pukyong National University, and ‘University Startup Education Program Progress and Achievements’ by Kang Jong-soo, CEO of Colz Dynamics.
Subsequently, a panel discussion on ‘Expanding the Base of Regional Entrepreneurship and Revitalizing the Startup Ecosystem’ was held, chaired by Kim Chang-wan, President of the Korean Entrepreneurship Society and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Keimyung University. Panelists included Director Cheon Dong-pil, Director Kim Chun-ho, CEO Kang Jong-soo, Professor Yoon Sang-pil of Gyeongsang National University’s Department of Entrepreneurship, and Kim Hyung-nam, Superintendent at Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education.
Ryu Ji-yeol, Director of Pukyong National University LINC 3.0 Project Group, stated, “We expect this to be an opportunity for experts in academia, the region, and business startup fields to establish a Busan-style entrepreneurship education model. We will share and expand last year’s achievements to produce even better results this year.”
