Pukyong National University Ranks 1st in Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation of National and Public Universities

The Only One Among 16 National and Public Universities

National Pukyong University (President Jang Young-su) ranked first in the comprehensive integrity evaluation among 16 national and public universities nationwide.


National Pukyong University was the only one among the 16 national and public universities to receive a first-grade comprehensive integrity rating in the "2023 Public Medical Institutions and National and Public Universities Comprehensive Integrity Evaluation" announced by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on January 18.


National Pukyong University has been recognized for its efforts to spread a culture of integrity and commitment to integrity, having also received a first-grade comprehensive integrity rating in the 2022 evaluation.


National Pukyong University received excellent evaluations in all areas, including integrity perception surveys conducted with external stakeholders and internal members, the institution's integrity efforts, and corruption status.


In integrity efforts such as establishing an anti-corruption promotion system, operational performance, and policy implementation effectiveness evaluation, it scored nearly 10 points higher than the national and public university average, achieving higher scores than the overall average in all evaluation categories.


Following National Pukyong University, Kyungpook National University, Kongju National University, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, Chonnam National University, and Chungbuk National University received second-grade ratings. Gyeongsang National University, Pusan National University, Incheon National University, Chungnam National University, and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology received third-grade ratings, while Seoul National University, Kangwon National University, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology, and Jeonbuk National University received fourth-grade ratings.


The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has been measuring the integrity levels of national and public universities since 2012, with evaluations involving business partners who have experience handling contracts with national and public universities, as well as lecturers, researchers, teaching assistants, and graduate students.
