Winter Vacation English Experience Class Completion Ceremony Held on the 20th at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Seoul Campus in Dongdaemun-gu
From the 8th to the 19th, Native English Instructors Provided Experiential Learning for Local Elementary Students in Grades 3 to 6
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) held a completion ceremony for the 'Winter Vacation English Experience Class' on the 20th at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Seoul Campus.
The Dongdaemun-gu English Experience Class is an English program focused on participatory activities, established through an agreement between the district and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in 2005, utilizing the university's educational equipment and personnel. To date, it has produced over 4,300 graduates.
This winter vacation English experience class was held from the 8th to the 19th of this month at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, targeting local elementary school students in grades 3 to 6.
The district supported 50% of the tuition fees for participating students, and for low-income students, the full tuition was covered in cooperation with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. A completion ceremony was held for the 97 students who completed the program that day.
Attending the ceremony, Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Lee Pil-hyung emphasized the importance of elementary education, stating, "We will continue to provide full support for improving students' academic achievement by actively operating various programs that utilize the educational infrastructure of excellent local universities."
