Gwangju Dong-gu Tourism Product 'Dong Ne Life' Shows Remarkable Results

Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 21st that the tourism product '東(동)ne Life,' which allows visitors to stay for two nights or more and experience the 'Gwangju Dong-gu style,' has received great responses from users over the past year and achieved remarkable results.

Since August last year, Dong-gu has been expanding the operation of the stay-type lifestyle tourism product '東ne Life' by diversifying accommodation facilities, offering one-day classes, and enhancing various contents and programs such as local tourist attractions and popular restaurants. As a result, the number of tourists visiting Dong-gu through the '東ne Life' service last year was recorded at around 400, far exceeding the initial target of 300, achieving higher-than-expected results.


Additionally, a satisfaction survey on the use of the '東ne Life' service showed a high satisfaction score of 4.8 out of 5, indicating that it left a good impression of Dong-gu on participants. In particular, many praised the opportunity to experience and enjoy various unique contents of Dong-gu at a reasonable price.


A representative of an accommodation business registered with '東ne Life' said, "With the system overhaul, the supply of diverse contents, and continuous promotional marketing, it has become more convenient to operate the facility," adding, "It has also greatly helped in terms of profitability, so we are looking forward to this year's operations."


Im Taek, Mayor of Dong-gu, said, "We hope you fully enjoy the differentiated stay-type lifestyle tourism unique to Dong-gu through '東ne Life,'" and added, "We will continue to develop distinctive contents to strengthen the city brand by attracting tourists and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
