Chonnam National University Hospital Awarded 'Minister of Employment and Labor Commendation' for Youth Employment Promotion

Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Ahn Young-geun) announced on the 21st that it recently received a commendation from the Minister of Employment and Labor in recognition of its contribution to revitalizing youth employment.

Chonnam National University Hospital was recognized for its contribution to activating youth jobs both internally and externally by continuously conducting youth recruitment based on fair hiring centered on job competency (a total of 2,044 people over 3 years) and creating new jobs through linkage with private companies specializing in health and medical technology (73 people in 2022).

In particular, the hospital implemented NCS-based blind recruitment throughout the entire hiring process and minimized unnecessary qualification requirements to increase job accessibility for the youth demographic.

Since 2016, it has continuously expanded youth intern recruitment (from 2 interns in 2016 to 25 in 2022) and developed youth-appropriate job roles such as issuing copies of medical records, providing job experience opportunities for young job seekers.

Moreover, by utilizing health and medical expertise, the hospital has revitalized in-house ventures and supported technology commercialization and patent applications to strengthen private company capabilities, contributing to job creation in biohealth innovation companies.
