Daegu City Councilor Lee Jaehwa Donates 3 Million Won to Hometown Gyeongju... Also Provides 2 Million Won in Scholarships

Donated 5 Million Won Generously in January Last Year as Well

Daegu City Council member Lee Jaehwa donated 3 million won again on the 17th, following a large donation under the Gyeongju Love Donation Program (No. 2) in January last year.


Lee Jaehwa also visited the Gyeongju Scholarship Foundation and donated 2 million won to foster talented individuals who will lead the future of the Gyeongju region and to support the development of local education.

Councilor Lee is a graduate of Gyeongju Gyelim Elementary School, class of 59, and is actively engaged in legislative activities as a member of the Daegu City Council’s Education Committee and the Special Committee on Integrated New Airport Construction.


Lee Jaehwa said, “I am very pleased to be able to donate through the excellent Gyeongju Love Donation Program, and I wanted to contribute even a little to nurturing future talents, so I donated to the scholarship foundation,” adding, “I feel proud to do something meaningful for my hometown, Gyeongju.”


Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak-young said, “I am happy and grateful that many people have donated for the development of Gyeongju since the beginning of the year,” and added, “With the support of donors, we will create a better Gyeongju.”
