Prime Minister Han Duck-soo tested positive for COVID-19 on the 21st and will cancel official schedules for a week.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Prime Minister Han attended the World Economic Forum (WEF, Davos Forum) held in Davos, Switzerland, and after returning on the 19th, he was diagnosed positive over the weekend.

Accordingly, Prime Minister Han will cancel official schedules including presiding over the Cabinet meeting scheduled for the 23rd, and will stay at the Prime Minister's residence in Jongno-gu until the 26th, managing key tasks via phone calls and written communications.
The Cabinet meeting on the 23rd is expected to be presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economy. At this Cabinet meeting, there is a possibility that the agenda regarding the exercise of the right to request reconsideration (veto) of the "Special Act on Guaranteeing the Rights of Victims, Fact-Finding, and Prevention of Recurrence of the October 29 Itaewon Disaster" (Itaewon Disaster Special Act), which was sent from the National Assembly to the government the previous day, will be discussed.
