"Dreamed of Returning to the Military..." The Story of Winning a 2 Billion Won Lottery

Purchased a ‘Set’ for the First Time and Won Both Tickets
"I Will Use the Money to Repay Loans, Buy a House, and Fund My Wedding"

The story of a man who dreamed of re-enlisting in the military and then won 2 billion won in the lottery has become a hot topic.

The story was revealed through a post on the Donghaeng Lottery website, the lottery operator, on the 19th.

Mr. A, who said, "I recently dreamed of re-enlisting in the military and six hypercars appeared in my dream," won 2 billion won by hitting the first prize of 1 billion won twice simultaneously in the 51st round of the 'Speedo 2000' lottery (1 set, 2 tickets).

Mr. A had been buying the Speedo 2000 scratch lottery tickets one by one. Then, after watching YouTube recently, he learned about the concept of sets and visited a nearby lottery store to purchase a set for the first time. The lottery store is known to be located on Yeonsu-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan.

Mr. A immediately scratched the lottery tickets on the street to check if he had won. After confirming that two pictures matched, he carefully started scratching the numbers from the last digit to check the prize amount.

However, unlike usual, seeing that the zeros were densely packed, Mr. A guessed that the prize money might be larger than expected and headed home. After returning home, he scratched the lottery tickets with his girlfriend and confirmed that it said "one billion won."

Mr. A said, "I was so surprised that I wondered if this was real," and added, "Then I confirmed that the other ticket also won 1 billion won."

Mr. A's winning message also caught attention on online communities. He wrote by hand on a piece of paper, "Busan93 ○○a, I love you. Mom and Dad, let's live happily. There is no manipulation (fabrication of false facts) in the lottery." Netizens inferred from the "Busan93" written that Mr. A was likely born in 1993.

Mr. A said, "I feel grateful as if I received great luck after many unfortunate events recently," and added, "I plan to use the prize money to repay loans, buy a house, and fund my wedding."
