Netmarble to Release Six Major Titles Including Large-Scale RPGs in First Half of the Year... Also Targeting the Chinese Market

Upcoming Releases like 'Nahonrep' and 'Asdal'
'The Second Country' Enters Chinese Market

Game company Netmarble plans to release a total of six titles in the first half of this year, including major RPGs such as "Arthdal Chronicles: The Three Powers" and "Solo Leveling: ARISE," and will introduce the mobile MMORPG "The Second World: Cross Worlds" in China.

"Arthdal Chronicles: The Three Powers" is a joint project with Studio Dragon. A Netmarble representative stated, "We are preparing a game scenario as solid as a drama, and plan to offer an experience of living in the world of Arthdal, including clothing changes according to weather, construction, material gathering, and cooking."

The plan is to realize a real society within the "Arthdal Chronicles" worldview, depicting fierce competition and conflicts among powers, as well as political and economic cooperation occurring within.

"Solo Leveling: ARISE" is an action RPG based on the IP of the webtoon of the same name, which has recorded a cumulative 14.2 billion views worldwide. Users become the webtoon protagonist Sung Jinwoo, engage in battles, and create their own action style through leveling up with various skills and weapons.

"Raven 2" is also preparing for a new start. It is the sequel to the action RPG Raven, which was released in March 2015 and achieved milestones such as surpassing 1 million daily active users (DAU) within 40 days and winning the Grand Prize at the 2015 Korea Game Awards.

Unlike the previous action RPG, Netmarble will present the new title as a dark fantasy MMORPG. Through this, they plan to offer special enjoyment not only to original users but also to MMORPG enthusiasts.

In addition to major projects, the casual board game "Modoo Marble 2" will be released domestically, and "Paragon: The Overprime" and "King Arthur: Legend Rise" are also under development for global release in the first half of this year.

In the Chinese market, Netmarble's hit title "The Second World: Cross Worlds" will be launched. Netmarble provided development resources to Tencent, which is directly handling localization. The successful collaboration between Tencent and Netmarble was demonstrated last November with "Stone Age: Awakening," which ranked 8th in local Apple App Store revenue about two weeks after release.

A Netmarble representative said, "We plan to consecutively release new titles of major IPs in the first half of this year. Recently, 'Solo Leveling: ARISE' passed internal testing for fun verification, and 'Arthdal Chronicles: The Three Powers' has also completed internal development and testing," adding, "'Modoo Marble 2' is undergoing improvements tailored to the domestic market, focusing on maximizing the fun of its predecessor."
