"Let's Grow the Tourism Industry in Icheon" Icheon City and Tourism Sector Join Hands

City Signs Business Agreement with 8 Companies and Organizations
Cooperation in Content, Infrastructure, and Promotion

Local governments and regional industries in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do have joined hands to revitalize the tourism industry.


On the 19th, Icheon-si announced that on the 18th, it signed a 'Business Agreement for Regional Tourism Revitalization and Public-Private Tourism Network Establishment' with local tourism companies to realize the core policy task of the 8th elected administration, "An Attractive and Elegant Cultural Tourism City."

The companies and organizations participating in the agreement included ▲Jisan Resort Co., Ltd. ▲Aekyung Asset Management Co., Ltd. ▲Lotte Premium Outlet Icheon Branch ▲Eden Paradise Hotel ▲Starlight Garden Universe ▲King’s Brand Icheon Brand Management Headquarters ▲Icheon Ceramic Art Village (Yes Park) Merchants Association ▲Icheon Nadri, totaling eight entities.


Through this agreement, the city and the industry agreed to actively cooperate in ▲developing regionally specialized cultural and tourism content ▲building infrastructure linked to local companies ▲mutual online and offline promotion and support of major events based on data routes ▲and attracting domestic and international tourists.


In particular, Icheon-si plans to leverage local content such as Icheon ceramics, rice, leisure, shopping, and lodging to increase tourist inflow, while focusing on developing day and night tourism content that encourages visitors to stay longer and enjoy their time. Additionally, the city intends to establish a network that allows sharing and utilizing information and know-how among collaborating institutions to explore ways to revitalize Icheon’s tourism industry.


Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon-si, stated, "We will maintain and develop a close cooperative relationship to create the best tourism synergy based on the capabilities and potential of the agreement institutions."
