Munheon-il, Guro District Mayor, Inspects Site of District Heating Supply Interruption in Gocheok-dong

Moon Heon-il, the mayor of Guro-gu, inspected the site of the district heating supply suspension accident in Gocheok-dong on the 18th.

On the afternoon of the 17th, due to a valve break at the Sinjeong pressurization station, heating and hot water supply were cut off to 2,247 households in four apartment complexes in Gocheok 1-dong and Gocheok 2-dong, Guro-gu.

In response, immediately after the accident occurred, at 7:40 PM yesterday, the district established the Guro-gu Disaster Site Integrated Support Headquarters at Daewoo Apartments in Gocheok 2-dong, which has the largest number of households, and held a countermeasure meeting chaired by the deputy mayor.

From 10:30 PM, two staff members per apartment complex and 12 employees from two community service centers were deployed to continuously receive civil complaints and support requests.

On the morning of the 18th, Mayor Moon Heon-il received a report on the current situation at the on-site Integrated Support Headquarters and visited the four affected apartment complexes in sequence to check the status and support measures.

Mayor Moon stated, “We will maintain the operation of the Integrated Support Headquarters until restoration is complete and continuously monitor the recovery situation,” and urged, “Do not hesitate to provide necessary support to minimize residents’ inconvenience.”

He then visited the apartment management offices to offer encouragement and express gratitude. No damage reports or evacuations have been received by Guro-gu.

The district is supporting residents by providing electric blankets at apartment management offices and allowing the use of shower facilities at community service centers.

In preparation for the possibility that restoration may not be completed by 2 PM that day, evacuation facilities will be set up in each neighborhood, and emergency relief supplies such as cold-weather gear will be provided.
