Jang Seong-hee, a Progressive Party lawmaker from Jeonju-si Eul, who was attending the launch ceremony of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, was forcibly removed by presidential security officers, and has demanded an apology from the president. Meanwhile, Lee Yong-ho, a People Power Party lawmaker, countered by calling it "a deliberate act of misconduct against the president."

On the 18th, Lee issued a statement saying, "Having witnessed up close the extremely rude and unreasonable behavior that Lawmaker Kang directed at President Yoon Seok-yeol during the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province launch ceremony held this morning in Jeonju, I cannot remain silent."

Lee mentioned, "While the president was shaking hands and greeting key figures one by one, when it was Kang's turn, she tightly grabbed the president's hand and did not let go, shouting repeatedly to 'change the national policy direction' and other demands."

He continued, "Politicians have ample opportunities to speak in the National Assembly or to the media if they have something to say. However, on this joyous day marking the launch of Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, Kang displayed unprecedentedly rude and unreasonable behavior in the history of Korean politics toward the president, who attended to support Jeonbuk, which has been stagnant since the Jamboree."

Lee stated, "It appears that Kang, as a public official and member of the National Assembly, disrupted the celebratory atmosphere for all Jeonbuk residents, interfered with the event, and attempted to use it as a platform for political propaganda and agitation. The security officers' restraint and removal of Kang was an unavoidable measure taken because she continued to shout and disrupt the event."

Lee added, "Lawmaker Kang should not exploit the fact that she was restrained but should first apologize for her rude and unreasonable behavior toward the president."
