Gwangjin-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) announced on the 17th that it is recruiting 'Delivery Restaurant Kitchen Disclosure Participating Businesses' to create a safe and clean food culture.


The recruitment target is delivery-focused restaurants located in the district. As the demand for delivery food has rapidly increased, many residents have been anxious due to the lack of ways to check the hygiene status of cooking establishments' kitchens. To address this, the district is promoting a safe food culture by providing benefits to participating businesses that disclose their kitchens.


Participating businesses in kitchen disclosure will receive support such as business-use volume-based waste bags or hygiene products worth approximately 300,000 KRW annually. They will also be promoted through Achasan Echo, SNS, and unmanned kiosks on the Taste Street. Especially this year, a special privilege of displaying medals or badges on the Gwangjin-type public delivery app 'Ttaenggyeoyo' will be provided.


Businesses wishing to participate can fill out an application form and submit it by visiting the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center's Health and Hygiene Division, or by email or fax. Applications can also be made by phone.


Since the delivery restaurant kitchen disclosure project first started in 2022, 32 businesses have participated and are publicly listed on the Gwangjin-gu website. Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We aim to reduce residents' anxiety and increase trust by transparently disclosing the hygiene status of delivery restaurants, which are difficult to check directly,” and added, “We hope many businesses will participate and join in creating a safe and clean food environment.”
