Lotte Wellfood Collaborates with Master Chef to Launch ‘Chef Food Meal Kit’
Lotte Wellfood has introduced the ‘Chef Food Master Meal Kit’ in collaboration with Nam Dae-hyun, the 14th Master Chef of Korea. The newly launched menu includes a total of seven dishes developed based on Master Nam Dae-hyun’s recipes: Korean beef tripe hot pot, perilla seed mushroom hot pot, perilla seed kalguksu (knife-cut noodles), Songtan-style army stew, pork kimchi hot pot, seafood mushroom nurungji soup, and beef bulgogi hot pot. The Master Meal Kit is a refrigerated meal kit that fully captures the master’s secret recipes. It uses fresh ingredients to deliver optimal flavor. The packaging uses environmentally friendly paper trays to reduce plastic usage.
CU Launches Cost-Effective Beer ‘Hero Beer’
CU has launched Hero Beer, a cost-effective beer. Hero Beer is a lager that is light, smooth, and has a clean finish, similar to popular domestic beers favored by consumers. It features a subtle hop aroma and a refreshing crispness, creating a flavor that anyone can comfortably enjoy. CU collaborates with small and medium-sized breweries facing difficulties in securing distribution channels, while reducing intermediate margins and minimizing marketing costs. The price is 2,000 KRW.
7-Eleven Launches Two ‘Juhyunyoung Holiday Lunchboxes’
7-Eleven is introducing two holiday lunchboxes targeting young ‘honmyeongjok’ (people spending holidays alone) during Lunar New Year or Chuseok. The ‘Cheongryonghae Banquet Lunchbox’ features home-style beef bulgogi and neobiani (grilled marinated beef) as the main dishes, along with traditional holiday pancakes and seasoned vegetables. It includes a variety of vegetables, omisanjeok (five-flavored skewers), chive & kimchi pancakes, and tofu pancakes, evoking a strong holiday atmosphere. The ‘Cheongryonghae Assorted Pancakes & Kimchi Pork’ lunchbox is designed as a holiday drinking snack, including tofu pancakes to enjoy with tofu kimchi, kimchi pork, seafood chive pancakes, kimchi pancakes, and thick donggeurangttaeng (Korean meat patties). The prices are 6,900 KRW and 6,500 KRW, respectively.
Harim Foodie Buddy Launches ‘Kkamang Jjajangmyeon’
Harim’s children’s food brand Foodie Buddy has launched ‘Kkamang Jjajangmyeon,’ a new concept children’s jjajang ramen that captures the authentic taste and aroma of real jjajangmyeon. Foodie Buddy Kkamang Jjajangmyeon uses traditional yellow-brown chunjang (black bean paste) that is stir-fried directly to preserve the genuine flavor and aroma of jjajangmyeon. It is designed with nutritional content so that children can safely enjoy it as a meal or snack. Although the sodium content is reduced, the flavor is enhanced by stir-frying domestic ingredients, bringing out the fresh natural taste and aroma. The jjajang sauce, noodles, and flakes are differentiated to maximize taste and quality.
The Venti Launches Two Types of Krungji
Coffee franchise The Venti is launching two types of Krungji, the representative snack of the Halmanial generation, as its first new menu of the new year: ‘Sweet Krungji’ and ‘Garlic Krungji.’ Krungji is made by flattening layered croissants and baking them thinly like scorched rice, resulting in a crispy texture with visible layers and the croissant’s characteristic sweet and savory flavor. It pairs well with coffee or tea.
Beanpole Accessories Launches Commuter Bags for 20s and 30s Office Workers
Beanpole Accessories, part of Samsung C&T Fashion Group, has launched a new product line under the concept ‘Welcome Newcomer’ for office workers in their 20s and 30s. The minimalist design is suitable for business casual styling, and the bags focus on lightweight features for daily commuting convenience. Attention was also given to various storage compartments to properly hold documents and IT devices. Key products include the lightweight nylon ‘Windy Bag’ for women and the steady seller ‘Billy Bag’ for men. They also released the ‘Commuter Backpack’ designed to separately store laptops and tablet PCs for commuters.
