6-Motion Washing Optimized According to Fabric Material
LG Electronics announced on the 17th that it will launch the 'Tromm WashTower' equipped with the largest 22kg dryer in Korea on the 23rd.
This is the first time a drying capacity of 22kg has been achieved among home dryers in Korea. The washing machine capacity at the bottom of the product is 25kg. Both drying and washing capacities are the largest among home dryers in Korea.
The washing algorithm has been improved to increase energy efficiency. It reduces energy consumption by about 15% compared to existing washing machines of the same class. The power consumption for one standard course wash is 550 watt-hours (Wh), which is less than the 639 watt-hours (Wh) of comparable products.
Along with 34 new Tromm WashTower models, LG Electronics will also introduce 7 models of 25kg Tromm washing machines and 7 models of 22kg dryers.

The DD (Direct Drive) motor function, known as a symbol of LG home appliances, has been enhanced. Through the AI DD motor, the washing machine has learned the current magnitude and waveform generated according to the fabric type when the washing drum initially moves. Washing machines equipped with the AI DD motor recognize the fabric and wash clothes with the optimal motion among six motions to minimize fabric damage.
The new product is an UP (Upgrade) appliance. UP appliances allow users to upgrade desired functions through LG Electronics' smart home platform LG ThinQ application even after purchasing the product. Through the UP appliance service, functions such as the 'Microplastic Care Course' can be utilized. This function reduces microplastic emissions caused by damage to synthetic fibers by 70% compared to the standard course.
Both the washing machine and dryer are combined with a mini wash tub at the bottom. They can be used as TwinWash, which allows simultaneous or separate washing, or combined with a separate drawer. New colors Cream Gray and Nature Navy are introduced. Customers can choose from six colors including existing Nature Beige, Nature Green, Lily White, and Space Black. The WashTower can be combined in four colors excluding Lily White and Space Black for the top and bottom units.
The prices based on shipment are 4,490,000 KRW for the Tromm WashTower, 2,050,000 KRW for the Tromm washing machine, and 2,290,000 KRW for the Tromm dryer.
