Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center Project Briefing Session Held

Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will hold the ‘2024 Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center Project Briefing Session’ via live broadcast on its YouTube channel at 2 p.m. on the 18th.

The ‘Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center Project Briefing Session’ is designed to share this year’s learning center operation strategies, major projects, and schedules, making it easy for any residents interested in participating in the learning center projects to understand and access.

The event will begin with sharing the learning center’s operation strategies and major schedules, followed by introductions to four public contest projects: ▲Eunpyeong Our Neighborhood Learning Center ▲Learning Club Support Project ▲Eunpyeong Learning Link ▲Da Vinci Laboratory.

Residents can participate in these public contest projects to create resident-led educational programs.

The application period for the public contest projects is from the 19th to February 12th. To apply, applicants can check the details of each project on the learning center’s website and submit the application form to the designated email address.

Additionally, information will be provided about the high-quality lecture series covering various topics, ‘Eunpyeong Tomorrow Salon,’ and the revamped hidden masterclass ‘Gol Ttaerineun Gosudeul!’ where all aspects of daily life are practiced as learning. A newly introduced ecological environment village instructor training course project will also be presented.

The briefing session will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel ‘Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center’ and is open for viewing by anyone interested. Since it will be live-streamed, real-time Q&A with project managers is possible through YouTube chat, allowing for detailed explanations.

Last year, Eunpyeong-gu was selected as a lifelong learning city for people with disabilities. This year’s changes in the Eunpyeong-gu Lifelong Learning Center projects focus on building accessibility so that all residents can benefit. The ‘Eunpyeong Our Neighborhood Learning Center’ and ‘Hidden Masterclass’ will expand lifelong learning opportunities for vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and the elderly, and a new personalized learning support ‘Learning Counseling’ will be established to meet individual residents’ learning needs.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “We have explored various measures such as developing customized learning type guides for counselors and expanding the activity areas of lifelong learning activists to increase citizen participation in lifelong learning,” adding, “I hope that Eunpyeong, a lifelong learning city that opens learning for all Eunpyeong residents, will leap forward again this year.”
