Beauty tissues are transforming into interior decor items. White tissues have been colored, and tissue boxes, once considered ordinary, are attracting consumers' attention as design and aesthetics are added.

According to Clean Country on the 17th, the ‘Le Meilleur’ lotion tissue will renew its box in March.

The ‘Le Meilleur’ text, which was written in white on a gray background, has been changed to pink, and the font was designed in a graffiti style resembling street art to make it stand out. Le Meilleur means ‘the best’ in French. Containing 20% lotion ingredients, Le Meilleur lotion tissue was created to reduce customers' discomfort from skin irritation. The main target is women in their 20s and 30s.

Yuhan-Kimberly launched the ‘Kleenex Objet Edition’ with light purple tissues at the end of last year. The color was applied from the first stage of fabric production to reduce concerns about color transfer. Unlike regular tissues, it uses a multi-layered natural pulp fabric, making it more durable.

With the catchphrase ‘Tissues! Becoming Interior,’ the box features a light purple background reminiscent of lavender, mixed with iridescent colors to create various atmospheres depending on light and space. The size was made relatively small to take up less space wherever placed indoors. Unlike the existing Kleenex beauty tissue box size of 229mm width, 113mm depth, and 110mm height, the Objet Edition box measures 160mm width, 113mm depth, and 70mm height. Yuhan-Kimberly explained, “There is high interest from customers in their 20s to 40s who seek novelty and want to complete a sophisticated interior, and it is popular as a housewarming gift.”

Some companies have also released limited packages for the winter season. Monalisa’s ‘Monalisa Beauty Tissue Winter Edition’ was designed as an item suitable for year-end and New Year’s home parties. The box design captures a cozy winter atmosphere with falling snow, snow-covered landscapes, and even a snowman. Ssangyong C&B also released a limited edition ‘Codi Happy Puppy Winter Edition Beauty Tissue’ featuring people playing with their dogs on snowy paths.

Consumers are responding positively to these tissue transformations. Kang Shin-young (35), an office worker using the Kleenex Objet Edition, said, “When taking photos at home, I often put away tissue boxes because they don’t match the scene, but now I just leave them on the table even if they appear in the frame,” adding, “Visitors to my home are curious, and some have asked what kind of tissue it is after seeing photos on social media.”
