Kim Da-hyun, a singer and public relations ambassador for Gyeongbuk Province, visited the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office on the 16th to donate 2 million won to the Hometown Love Donation Fund.
Kim Da-hyun, who debuted as part of the traditional Korean music duo from Cheonghak-dong, was selected as an honorary citizen of Gyeongbuk Province for her contribution to making Yecheon Hoeryongpo a nationally recognized attraction by achieving 11 million views on YouTube for her performance of "Hoeryongpo" on Miss Trot 2. In 2023, she won the "Singer of the Year" award in the adult trot category at the 29th Korea Entertainment Arts Awards and is currently actively working as a singer on MBN's "Active King of Singers."

Ambassador Kim Da-hyun expressed her hope that “the donation will help revitalize the local economy in Gyeongbuk even a little,” and added, “I hope many people will take an interest in and participate in the Hometown Love Donation.”
Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk Province, said, “As the Hometown Love Donation System enters its second year, we will strive to develop projects that both donors and residents can relate to, so that the culture of hometown love donations can take root.”
The Hometown Love Donation System, which started on January 1 last year to foster a healthy donation culture for hometowns and to revitalize the local economy, allows anyone to donate to a city, province, or county other than their registered address, with an annual donation limit of 5 million won per person.
Donors can receive a full tax deduction on donations up to 100,000 won, and a 16.5% tax deduction on the amount exceeding 100,000 won. Additionally, donors receive donation points equivalent to 30% of the donation amount, which can be exchanged for various local agricultural and specialty products as thank-you gifts.
