The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and Gunsan City have signed a business agreement to strengthen public-private cooperation for disaster and calamity preparedness. Through the agreement on the 11th, both organizations decided to ▲ cooperate for efficient recovery in the event of disasters and calamities ▲ promote cooperation for disaster and calamity prevention.
Kang Im-jun, mayor of Gunsan City, stated, "As disasters and calamities become commonplace due to the climate crisis, immediate on-site response during crisis situations has become crucial," adding, "We will do our best to establish a public-private mutual cooperation system to carry out rapid disaster relief activities."
Kim Jeong-hee, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "Cooperation between the public and private sectors is essential to respond to climate disasters whose threats are increasing day by day," and added, "The National Disaster Relief Association will actively cooperate with Gunsan City for effective disaster prevention and relief activities in the Gunsan area." Last year, Hope Bridge supported the Gunsan region during heavy rains by providing 100 emergency relief kits, 1,000 bottles of water, and about 3,100 relief items including cup noodles.
