Naver Chijijik to Also Provide 'High-Quality' eSports Content

Naver's game-specialized streaming service 'Chijijik' now allows viewers to watch eSports content.

On the 16th, Naver announced that it has signed a partnership with Nongshim RedForce for this purpose. This partnership marks Chijijik's first agreement with a domestic professional eSports team. Taking this opportunity, Chijijik plans to actively support the expansion of streaming services for various professional eSports teams to a broader audience.

Under this agreement, Nongshim RedForce's LCK roster, along with the team's exclusive streamers 'Yatta' and 'Nonggwanjeon,' will conduct streaming on Chijijik. In the future, Chijijik will build team and player pages on Naver eSports, linking accounts of partner teams including Nongshim RedForce to increase broadcast exposure opportunities. Nongshim RedForce plans to hold various streaming events on Chijijik and maintain real-time communication with fans. Fan meetings or friendly matches held throughout the year will also be exclusively broadcast through Chijijik's official channel.

A Naver representative stated, "Chijijik leverages its expertise in operating eSports communities to discuss collaborations with various professional eSports teams," adding, "In particular, we plan to cooperate to create revenue models together with professional eSports teams by linking with various Naver services such as commerce and short-form content in the future."
