Geumcheon-gu to Hold 2024 'New Year's Meeting' ... Pledging a New Leap Forward

New Year's Greeting Event Held at Geumnarae Art Hall at 1:40 PM on the 17th... Over 600 Residents Attend to Share District Administration Directions and Vision

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the "2024 New Year's Greeting Meeting" at 1:40 PM on the 17th at the Geumnarae Art Hall performance venue, providing an opportunity to pledge new development and change for Geumcheon in 2024 together with residents.

The event is expected to be attended by about 600 people, including Geumcheon-gu Mayor Yu Seong-hoon, National Assembly member Choi Ki-sang, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Seoul Superintendent of Education Cho Hee-yeon, Geumcheon-gu Council Chairman Kim Yong-sul, city and district council members, and residents.

As a pre-event, the district has prepared a traditional performance called "Han Cultures" that the audience can enjoy together to welcome the new year. The main event will include the screening of a "New Year video," the "Mayor's New Year's address," explanations of Seoul city projects and budget by the Seoul Mayor, "New Year's greetings" and "deep bows" from key guests, among other activities.

In particular, on this day, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon will share with residents the future vision and administrative direction that announce a new leap forward for Geumcheon-gu in 2024 along with his New Year's greetings.

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon will present the administrative directions to be pursued this year, including ▲ Geumcheon as an economically vibrant city ▲ Geumcheon as a livable city of culture, welfare, and education ▲ Geumcheon as a happy city where people want to live.

As a congratulatory performance, the Geumcheon-gu Women's Choir will present a beautiful harmony, and all attendees will conclude the event by singing "Seoul's Hymn" together.

A New Year photo zone will be set up outside the venue so that attending residents can freely take commemorative photos while making their New Year wishes.

Mayor Yu Seong-hoon stated the administrative direction to residents, saying, "In 2024, the Year of the Blue Dragon, we will rise high like the spirit of the Cheongryong (Blue Dragon), vigorously leaping forward together with residents to make the city valuable and the residents happy, creating 'Geumcheon that empowers the lives of its citizens.'"
