A fire broke out at around 5:53 a.m. on the 16th in the Bulamsan Tunnel on the Seoul Metropolitan Area 1st Ring Expressway in Nowon-gu, Seoul.

One truck was completely burned in the fire, but no significant casualties have been reported. The fire department, which responded to the scene, fully extinguished the fire at around 6:30 a.m., about 30 minutes later.
Due to the fire accident handling work, some lanes have been closed, causing severe traffic congestion from Uijeongbu toward Guri.
The Seoul Transportation Information Center stated, "There is severe rear-end congestion due to the vehicle fire accident handling work inside the Bulamsan Tunnel," and advised, "Please take a detour in advance."
