Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the "2024 New Year's Greeting Meetings" by touring all 17 neighborhoods starting from the 17th.

This is to provide detailed guidance on the main directions and policies of district administration for the new year, and to communicate closely with residents to build consensus.

Mayor Jeong Munheon plans to deliver New Year's greetings commemorating the Gapjin Year and have in-depth conversations with residents for regional development through these neighborhood New Year's greeting meetings. Additionally, explanations of neighborhood-specific pending projects and promotional video screenings are scheduled.

Furthermore, Jongno-gu will install a separate suggestion box in front of the event venues to collect residents' opinions, then discuss with relevant departments and seek solutions.

The schedule for the New Year's greeting meetings is as follows: starting with Cheongunhyoja-dong on January 17, Sajik-dong and Samcheong-dong on the 19th, Pyeongchang-dong on the 22nd, Buam-dong on the 29th, Muak-dong and Gyo-nam-dong on the 30th, Gahoe-dong and Jongno 1, 2, 3, 4-ga-dong on the 31st, Jongno 5, 6-ga-dong and Hyehwa-dong on February 2, Ihwa-dong and Changsin 1-dong on February 5, Changsin 2-dong and Changsin 3-dong on February 6, and Sungin 1-dong and Sungin 2-dong on February 7.

On the 3rd, Jongno-gu held a "New Year's Greeting Meeting" at Seoul Arts High School, inviting about 700 guests and residents to share a moment of new beginnings and hope.

Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, "In 2024, we aim to present a more concrete and realistic Jongno Modern," and added, "I will listen carefully to the voices of each resident, who are the foundation of a coexisting and prospering Jongno, and deliver my New Year's greetings."
