Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gil-seong) continues to offer various programs for single-person households, such as ‘New Year Dream Fulfillment Meditation & Yoga’ and ‘Traditional Korean Holiday Table Setting with CJ.’
Jung-gu recruited 20 single-person households who decided to ‘take care of their physical and mental health from the New Year’ and has been conducting meditation and yoga programs since the 10th.
The program is scheduled to be held three times in total at Myeongdong Art Breeze until the 24th.
If you want to cook with neighbors and chat, the cooking class ‘Traditional Korean Holiday Table Setting I Prepare’ is perfect. Participants make assorted dumpling rice cake soup, beef bone broth scallion bulgogi, Korean-style meat patties (donggeurangttaeng), japchae, and more. Once the cooking is complete, everyone sits around and enjoys a feast as if they were at a Korean restaurant.
The cooking classes will be held on the 24th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on the 26th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at CJ The Kitchen Cooking Studio (Dongho-ro 330), recruiting 12 participants per session. CJ CheilJedang supports all necessary aspects of the class, including instructors, ingredients, and venue. Applications can be made through Jung-gu’s single-person household cafe, ‘The Singles.’
Kim Gil-seong, Mayor of Jung-gu, stated, “Jung-gu will become family for the increasing number of single-person households,” adding, “We will establish a foundation for single-person households to engage in various activities in the community so that no one is left out.”
