Starting from the 19th of next month
Separate 'Season Rates' for Peak Season Also Introduced
Unavoidable Aspects Such as Inflation and Maintenance Cost Increases
Ananti, a company specializing in hotels and resorts, has decided to raise the accommodation fees for its membership-based lodgings by nearly 50% starting next month. The company claims that the increase is inevitable due to rising costs for facility operation and maintenance, and plans to use this price hike as an opportunity to provide better services to its members.
According to industry sources on the 15th, Ananti's Busan property, 'Ananti Cove,' will increase the peak season rate for its top-tier room, the 'Seasight Special,' by 49% to 3.8 million KRW for regular members starting from the 19th of next month. The representative room at 'Ananti Code' in Gapyeong, the 'Murata House,' will also see a 22% increase in peak season rates for regular members, rising to 620,000 KRW. In addition to peak season rates, a new 'seasonal rate' has been introduced for holidays such as Children's Day, Chuseok, and year-end, which is up to 120,000 KRW higher than the peak season rates.
Ananti operates four membership-only resort properties, including Ananti Namhae (launched in 2006), Ananti Cove, and Ananti Code, as well as three general hotels: Ananti at Busan Village, Ananti at Cove Busan, and Ananti at Gangnam. This recent rate increase targets membership-only resorts where membership prices are in the high 100 million KRW range. It is known that some members have expressed dissatisfaction as accommodation fees have been raised for four consecutive years.
In response, Ananti emphasizes that this accommodation fee increase was not a unilateral decision. A company representative explained, "Each resort platform for members has its own operating committee," adding, "The new rate plan was discussed by the operating committee, and the rate increase was confirmed after a majority vote in favor."
The company also plans to strengthen discount benefits for existing members. For example, a new reservation system offering higher discounts to early birds or guests booking multiple nights will be introduced sequentially. Additionally, the mileage program, which returns a portion of the costs spent by members on accommodation, will be expanded. Ananti stated, "We have invested over 10 billion KRW in maintaining and repairing the existing golf courses in Namhae and Jeju, and are establishing new resorts in Jeju and Cheongpyeong as new projects. The increased rates will be used to maintain excellent facilities and provide the best services to our members compared to others in the industry."
Meanwhile, according to securities firms, Ananti's estimated annual revenue last year rose 198.08% year-on-year to 934 billion KRW, and operating profit increased by 58.19% to 297.5 billion KRW. The company already recorded 539.6 billion KRW in sales in the first half of last year, surpassing the 325.3 billion KRW sales of the same period the previous year. There are even forecasts that Ananti could become the first domestic hotel and resort company to exceed 1 trillion KRW in annual sales.
