Hanyang University announced on the 15th that Professor Lee Byung-hee of the Department of Business Administration has been inaugurated as the 36th President of the Korean International Business Association.

The Korean International Business Association was established in 1989 and currently has about 600 members. Its main research areas include the international competitiveness of companies and countries, globalization of enterprises, foreign direct investment, and attraction of foreign investment.
Professor Lee previously served as a professor at the College of Business Administration, California State University, and has been a professor at Hanyang University's Department of Business Administration since 2005. He served as the president of the Korean Small Business Association until 2022 and is currently engaged in various academic and advisory activities across academia, public, and private sectors, including as a member of the Korea Impact Value Evaluation Institute, head of the G7 Korea ESG Private Promotion Committee subcommittee, CEO and chief fund manager of Hanyang University Technology Holding Company, and a member of the Presidential National Integration Committee’s Special Committee on Strengthening the Self-Reliance of Small Business Owners.
Professor Lee stated, “In an increasingly uncertain and rapidly changing global business environment, I will faithfully carry out academic activities, policy development, and corporate consulting to support not only large domestic corporations but also small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in their successful overseas expansion and performance enhancement.”
