DGB Daegu Bank (President Hwang Byung-woo) opened a senior-specialized branch, ‘Daebong Bravo Branch,’ on the 15th to provide convenient services for senior customers.
Named ‘Bravo’ to support a healthy and happy old age, Daebong Bravo Branch (Branch Manager Lee Jae-chun) is the second specialized branch following DGB Daegu Bank’s convenience store-affiliated branch, ‘Digital Shop.’
The customer counters at Daegu Bank's senior-specialized branches are spacious, allowing elderly customers to communicate freely.
Located near Dongseong-ro, frequented by young people in their teens and twenties, the ‘Digital Shop’ is characterized by simple and fast service, whereas the ‘Daebong Bravo Branch’ offers a spacious and comfortable service area specialized for senior customers.
Considering the generation’s preference for face-to-face transactions over non-face-to-face ones, the counters have been expanded and arranged as independent spaces to enhance the privacy of seniors who often communicate loudly. Additionally, color guide lines for easy counter navigation and tablet PCs with large fonts used at the counters help seniors with their banking tasks.
In the ‘Quick Zone’ for simple transactions, kiosks and smart managers are installed to assist users in using digital devices easily and at their own pace, and senior-friendly ATMs with easy screen layouts and large fonts are also available.
Besides financial services, there is a lounge space for communication and a seminar room for various senior education programs, including financial fraud prevention.
A DGB Daegu Bank official said, “DGB Daegu Bank is continuously developing specialized branch services that are convenient for each customer group by understanding the characteristics of each generation in the changing financial environment. Among various candidate areas where the elderly reside, the first senior branch was opened in Nam-gu.”
The bank also expressed its intention to practice warm finance for the community through win-win finance that supports communication in old age, as well as specialized senior financial services.
