CES 2025 Scheduled to Open on January 7 Next Year
The world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, 'CES 2024,' where rapidly changing technology trends centered on artificial intelligence (AI) could be experienced, concluded its schedule from the 9th to the 12th (local time) in Las Vegas, USA. This year, CES attracted 135,000 visitors, the largest attendance since the COVID-19 endemic, with over 4,300 exhibitors from around the world showcasing various technologies and new products. Next year's CES is scheduled to be held from January 7 to 10, 2025.

On the 15th, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which organizes CES, stated, "This year's CES showcased innovative trends that prepare for the future and address the most urgent global challenges." More than 5,000 global media and content creators attended this year's event. The CES Innovation Awards, announced annually, saw a record high of over 3,000 entries, increasing the level of competition. It was also the first year that the AI category was added to the CES Innovation Awards.
Gary Shapiro, Chairman and CEO of CTA, said, "The revival of CES proves that face-to-face conversations and meetings are essential in the technology industry," adding, "For more than 20 years, we have consistently said that every company must become a technology company, and the diversity of companies participating in CES 2024 proved this." He continued, "the exhibition space and conference programs of CES 2024 also encompassed the entire technology ecosystem."
AI was the hot topic at this year's CES. Participating companies demonstrated AI's potential to create a better world by transforming how people communicate, conduct business, and care for each other through cutting-edge applications. In the keynote speeches, beauty brand L'Or?al Group took the stage for the first time to share an inclusive beauty tech vision aimed at improving lives worldwide. CEOs from Best Buy, HD Hyundai, Intel, Qualcomm, and others also took the keynote stage to introduce innovations across industries and new collaborations.

At Eureka Park, the startup-only exhibition hall, more than 1,400 startups participated this year?the largest ever?including national pavilions representing France, Italy, Israel, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, and Ukraine?showing significant growth. Through exhibitions by over 600 mobility exhibitors such as Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Supernal, BMW, and Honda, attendees could observe trends in rapidly growing mobility technologies like autonomous vehicles, electric vehicles, and software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
CES 2024 exhibitors also showcased sustainable solution efforts through technologies, products, and services that reduce carbon dioxide emissions and waste. In the digital health sector, tools and technologies aimed at cost reduction, improving health equity, and saving lives were emphasized. In the accessibility and innovation for all sector, various technology industries gathered to create platforms centered on universal design to discuss the next wave of innovation.
Meanwhile, the CTA celebrated its 100th anniversary at this year's CES. It also announced that next year's CES will take place in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10, 2025.
