This project follows the Ministry of Health and Welfare's public contest for the 'Long-term Care Home Medical Care Center Pilot Project.' The Home Medical Care Center is a clinic-level medical institution where doctors, nurses, and social workers visit the homes of elderly individuals with mobility difficulties to provide medical services and connect them with necessary community services.

By using this service, elderly people who have difficulty performing daily activities alone due to old age or geriatric diseases are expected to receive medical and welfare services while continuing to live at home without being admitted to nursing facilities or hospitals.

Kim Kyung-hee, mayor of Icheon City, said, "This project is a step forward in achieving a healthy and enriched home life for elderly people with mobility difficulties," adding, "We will actively support the provision of linked care resources and services within the community going forward."
