Kim San, County Governor of Muan, Achieves 56.9% Pledge Fulfillment Rate... On Track to Meet Goals Within Term

Achieved 5.5% Exceeding Compared to the Same Period of the 7th Civil Term... 32 Promises Completed Early

100 Promises in 7 Areas of the 8th Civil Term... 95 Completed During Term, 5 After Term

Kim San, the governor of Muan County, achieved a pledge fulfillment rate of 56.9% as of the end of last year, exceeding the rate during the same period of the 7th local government by 5.5%.


According to Muan County on the 15th, Governor Kim San's pledges for the 8th local government consist of 100 pledges across 7 sectors, of which 95 are to be completed during the term and 5 are to be completed after the term.

In particular, Muan County has made efforts to devise measures by holding quarterly pledge progress reporting meetings to ensure faithful pledge implementation.


The major pledges completed so far include △support for university admission congratulatory money △support for the establishment of a high school in the Oryong district △implementation of a 100-won fare for rural buses for elementary, middle, and high school students △support for representative activity expenses of the senior citizens' association △support for food expenses at village senior centers △establishment of a toy library in Muan-eup △expansion of citizen safety insurance coverage △support for cervical cancer vaccination fees △re-designation of Muan’s representative tourist sites △re-designation and commercialization of Muan’s flavors △designation of a special zone for the ceramic industry △expansion of support for apartment management costs △establishment of a new bus route between Muan-eup and Namak New Town, totaling 32 items.


Muan County plans to hold a 2024 pledge implementation plan reporting meeting in January to set pledge goals to be fulfilled within this year and will also strive to accelerate pledge progress through quarterly progress reporting meetings.


Governor Kim San said, “The 100 pledges promised to the citizens are being carried out normally,” and added, “I will do my best to fulfill the pledges during the remaining term.”
