Over 200 Representatives from Overseas Broadcasters and Content Studios Visit
PIXELL, a deep learning AI-based image enhancement solution developed by FourByFour, captured the attention of visitors from around the world at the CES exhibition.
Content AI solution company FourByFour participated in ‘CES 2024,’ held in Las Vegas, USA, for four days starting from the 9th. On the 15th, FourByFour announced that its image enhancement AI solution PIXELL attracted great interest from many visitors at the venue.
The image enhancement AI solution PIXELL uses AI trained on tens of thousands of ultra-high-definition videos to finely adjust saturation, sharpness, contrast, noise, and more, enhancing image quality to a level similar to what the human eye perceives in reality. It can reduce the video's bitrate while upgrading the quality to ultra-high definition, making it advantageous for use across various industries. Bitrate refers to the amount of data transmitted per second.
PIXELL was recognized for its differentiated image enhancement performance and received two Innovation Awards in the Content & Entertainment and Digital Imaging/Photography categories at the pre-announced ‘CES 2024 Innovation Awards’ last November.
At the FourByFour booth set up in ‘Eureka Park,’ where small venture companies showcase innovative technologies, various stakeholders visited, including broadcasters and telecom companies from the USA, UK, Japan, Spain, augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) associations, 3D content producers, global VFX studios, global technology companies, e-learning education companies, and healthcare imaging companies.
Sherman Tang, CTO of AI solution infrastructure company AllFiveData, who visited the site, said, "The quality of the AI image enhancement results is astonishing," adding, "I believe it has great potential for use in global media services and content production fields, including the USA."
Lim Jeonghyun, Vice President of FourByFour, who oversees the PIXELL business division, said, "Despite having a relatively small booth, we were surprised by the enthusiastic local response, holding over 200 meetings with related companies from all over the world, including the USA, Europe, and Asia."
He added, "We were able to discover practical business opportunities not only in existing markets but also in unexpected areas. We expect that participating in CES will be an important milestone for expanding our global business."
