HD Hyundai Site Solutions Collaborates on Future Technologies with CNH, the World's Second-Largest Agricultural Machinery Company

HD Hyundai announced on the 12th that it has formed a partnership with CNH, the world's second-largest agricultural machinery company, to realize future technologies such as unmanned autonomous construction machinery.

HD Hyundai Site Solutions announced that on the 11th (local time), at CES 2024, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, it signed a memorandum of understanding with CNH regarding the 'Establishment of a North America Joint Research Center and Future Technology Cooperation.'

Youngchul Cho, President of HD Hyundai Site Solutions, and Stefano Pampaloni, Head of CNH Construction Equipment Division, signed the agreement. HD Hyundai Vice Chairman Kijun Jung, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment President Chulgon Choi, and CNH CEO Scott Wine also attended to discuss various cooperation plans.

By the first half of the year, the two companies plan to establish a joint research center called 'CE Innovation Lab' (tentative name) in North America, composed of smart equipment development and digital solution research teams. They will jointly conduct research on future technologies leading the market and establish development strategies.

In the future, the two companies plan to expand the scope of cooperation through the joint research center by jointly investing in startups focused on future technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy. They will share each company's digital innovation technologies and apply them to products.

CNH President Pampaloni said, "Through this cooperation, both companies will establish themselves as leaders in future technologies in the industry." President Cho said, "Unmanned autonomous technology is a key to changing the paradigm of the construction equipment market," adding, "This cooperation will greatly help research on innovative unmanned autonomous technologies and accelerate their commercialization."

CNH has been partnering with HD Hyundai Construction Equipment on mini excavators since 2017. HD Hyundai Site Solutions introduced 'Consept-X' in 2019 for the first time in the world. Consept-X is a solution that automates and unmanned all construction site operations, from terrain surveying to construction equipment operation.
