Customized Health Management by Health Nurses Visiting Pregnant Women and Households with Infants Under 2 Years
Daily Care Services for Middle-Aged and Older Single-Person Households
Namdong-gu, Incheon introduced 47 projects in 6 major areas that are newly launched or changed this year.
First, the 'Namdong-type Youth Tomorrow Savings Plus Support Project' was newly established to help young workers employed in local small and medium-sized enterprises build assets and maintain long-term employment. The project provides the savings jointly accumulated by the employer, young worker, and government over three years to the young worker upon maturity after three years, fully supporting 70,000 KRW per month per subscriber.
The free shingles vaccination for seniors, first implemented last year as a pledge of the 8th local government administration, will expand its support target from those aged 75 and older to those aged 70 and older this year, and basic livelihood security recipients will be supported from age 65.
Health nurses for infants and toddlers will directly visit pregnant women residing in Incheon and families with children under 2 years old to provide customized health management services. Additionally, daily care services including home care, housekeeping, and nursing will be operated to support middle-aged single-person households in need of care due to illness or isolation, as well as young people who have difficulty living alone.
To prepare for heavy rain, the installation of the 3rd stormwater detention facility in the Ganseok district will be promoted at Seokjeong Children's Park, and installation of openable security windows will be supported for vulnerable groups living in semi-basement homes. A total of 287 low-resolution security CCTV cameras under 2 million pixels will be replaced with high-resolution ones to respond to various crimes and disasters.
As part of the regeneration project for low-rise residential areas in the old downtown, the village environment in Ganseok 3-dong will be improved to create parking lots and resting areas, and a community facility for residents will be established in the densely populated housing area of Namchon-dong. The Seochang Health Life Support Center will open to provide health promotion services for residents in the Seochang-dong area, and the Namdong-gu Family Center will be expanded and relocated by remodeling the former Namdong-gu Senior Welfare Center in Guwol-dong.
Other new projects include support for spouses of veterans, subscription to exclusive insurance for electric mobility aids for the disabled, OTT services at Namdong-gu public libraries, and educational activity expense support for low-income multicultural children.
Park Jong-hyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "We will strive to implement a district administration that provides tailored support throughout the life cycle from children to seniors so that there is no inconvenience in daily life," adding, "I hope residents check the policies and projects they need and receive help."
