The government has decided to provide humanitarian aid worth approximately 4 billion KRW to Japan, which suffered damage from an earthquake.
On the 1st, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that our government has decided to provide humanitarian assistance worth 3 million USD (about 3.96 billion KRW) to support the response to the damage caused by the earthquake in the Noto Peninsula area of Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
As of this date, the earthquake has resulted in 206 deaths and about 26,000 displaced persons in Japan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "The government hopes that this support will help the recovery of the affected areas and the prompt return to daily life for the residents of those regions."
