On the 24th, Theme: 'Abnormal Psychology and Crime in Modern Society'
Gunsan City Library will invite Professor Park Ji-seon, a professor of social psychology at Sookmyung Women's University and a criminal psychologist, to give a lecture titled "Abnormal Psychology and Crime in Modern Society" at 7 p.m. on the 24th.
Professor Park majored in psychology at Seoul National University, earned a master's degree in psychology from Seoul National University Graduate School after studying investigative psychology at the University of Liverpool, and obtained a Ph.D. in psychology from the City University of New York.
She has served as a professor at the Korean National Police University, a professional psychological committee member for the courts, and a director of the Korean Society of Criminology. She is currently a professor in the Department of Social Psychology at Sookmyung Women's University. She actively communicates with the public through appearances on major broadcasting networks.

In this lecture, she will analyze various reasons for crimes occurring in modern society and the abnormal psychology of criminals from multiple perspectives, and discuss ways to maintain a safe and healthy society.
Registration for on-site participation in the lecture will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting from the 15th via the City Library website and phone. The lecture will be broadcast live online on the official Gunsan City YouTube channel on the day of the event.
Last year, Gunsan City Library invited famous authors such as Kim Joong-hyuk, Lee Hee-young, Lisa Son, Cheon Myeong-kwan, and Jung Ji-ah to operate five citizen reading academies both online and offline. It provided 2,355 citizens with time to cultivate positive life values and fill their inner self-esteem with humanistic vitality.
A representative of Gunsan City Library stated, "This year as well, we will invite experts from various fields to offer diverse and profound lectures, providing citizens with opportunities to find the meaning of a happy and valuable life."
