Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will recruit 158 applicants who wish to participate in the local community job project for the first half of this year from the 15th to the 19th.
Participants will work for four months from March 4 to June 28 in 25 project areas, including managing the Tancheon Wetland Ecological Park, creating the Seongnam Citizen Farm, leaf composting, tending vegetable gardens, flower paths, and flower beds at the local administrative welfare centers, shredding pruning byproducts, and the Mugunghwa distribution project.
Regarding working conditions, those aged 18 to 64 will work 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive a daily wage of 59,160 KRW.
Those aged 65 and older will work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, and receive a daily wage of 29,580 KRW.
Commonly, a transportation and snack allowance of 5,000 KRW per day will be provided as incidental expenses, and the four major insurances will be mandatorily subscribed according to age.
Eligibility for participation in the local community job project requires being a Seongnam citizen aged 18 or older who is able to work, with a combined household income at or below 60% of the median income and assets of 400 million KRW or less.
To apply, applicants must bring their ID and other qualification documents to the administrative welfare center of their residential district within the application period.
Seongnam City will comprehensively consider the number of dependents, assets, household head status, income, and other factors to select participants, notify them individually on February 22, and post the results on the city’s website.
