Simultaneous Marriage and Move-in Registration at Gangseo-gu Office Without Visiting Dong Community Center... Available If One Spouse Has an Address in Gangseo-gu
On the 2nd, Mr. Kim ○○, who visited the district office to register his marriage, said, "I was going to take a day off for the marriage and moving-in registration, but when I inquired at the district office, I was told that I could do both at once, so I comfortably took a short lunch break to complete everything."
Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) announced that from the new year, it has introduced a one-stop service that processes marriage registration and moving-in registration at the district office simultaneously.
Until now, marriage registration could only be done at the district office, and moving-in registration had to be done either by visiting the local community service center of the new address or online.
To resolve the inconvenience of citizens having to visit separate offices for each registration, the district established the "Marriage and Moving-in One-Stop Service."
With the implementation of the one-stop service, it is now possible to process moving-in registration immediately after marriage registration at the district office.
If you visit the district office and submit both the marriage registration form and the moving-in registration form together, the staff will accept the marriage registration form and immediately send the moving-in registration form to the local community service center of the new address.
Once the moving-in registration form reaches the community service center, the moving-in officer processes the registration and notifies the citizen of the result via text message.
This service can only be used if one of the spouses has an address in Gangseo-gu and is incorporated into that household. In cases of forming a new household, registration must be done by visiting the local community service center or online as before.
District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, "Marriage registration and moving-in registration are sequential procedures, but since the processing agencies are different, residents have experienced inconvenience, so we introduced the one-stop service. We will continue to discover projects that eliminate residents' inconveniences and do our best to provide resident-centered customized administrative services."
