Taesung, a specialized company in PCB automation equipment, announced on the 10th that it will hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at its headquarters in Ansan on the 25th to amend its articles of incorporation, including the addition of business purposes for secondary batteries and optical component manufacturing.
Taesung supplies high-performance PCB automation equipment and conducts business with top-tier domestic and overseas clients. With the recent expansion of the on-device AI market, investments from major customers are expected to increase, drawing attention from the industry.
Through the amendment of the articles of incorporation, the company will add business purposes including ▲design and manufacturing of equipment for secondary batteries ▲manufacturing of secondary battery parts and materials ▲manufacturing and sales of optical components.
The equipment for secondary batteries is designed for composite copper foil (anode material) and related patents have been filed, with the demo equipment already completed. After thorough equipment verification, the company plans to prepare for supply. The optical component manufacturing business has completed the installation of mass production equipment for camera module (M.Spacer) parts and is conducting sales activities with domestic and international customers by producing samples.
A Taesung official stated, “With the improvement of business conditions such as the activation of the AI industry, we secured an order backlog exceeding last year’s sales, including achieving the largest order of 20.4 billion KRW in the fourth quarter in existing business areas. We expect that through the amendment of the articles of incorporation, new business will generate full-scale sales starting this year, making this year the first year of significant external growth.”
