Shinsegae I&C Signs Agreement for Installation and Operation Management of Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Yoon Kyung-hee) and Shinsegae I&C signed a "Memorandum of Understanding on the Installation, Operation, and Management of Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities" on the 9th.
According to the agreement, Cheongsong-gun will provide land for the installation of charging facilities, and Shinsegae I&C will offer the "Sparos EV" charging service to local residents and tourists after installing the electric vehicle charging facilities.
Shinsegae I&C is a retail tech specialized company under the Shinsegae Group, operating the electric vehicle charging service "Sparos EV." Based on differentiated services such as easy charging functions, Shinsegae points benefits, and a customer center operating 24/7 all year round, the business is rapidly expanding.
Initially, 53 charging stations (4 rapid chargers, 49 slow chargers) will be installed at 12 public facilities and tourist sites within Cheongsong-gun, and Shinsegae I&C will be responsible for installing the necessary chargers in Cheongsong-gun through 2027.
Through this agreement, it is expected that residents and tourists in Cheongsong-gun will be able to conveniently use charging services at public facilities and tourist sites, greatly contributing to the spread of electric vehicles within Cheongsong-gun.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, "With this agreement, we expect the expansion of electric vehicles that protect the clean air of 'Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong-gun,' and we will continue to expand charging facilities and actively work toward carbon neutrality."
